'Access Forbidden' through ssl connection and passworded folder

So I have Hellaworld running on Xubuntu using Apache2 with the ssl module active. I access the site through https, and type in the password to access the main site. I then click through to Hellaworld, enter the correct username and password for Hellaworld and then I get Access Forbidden.

I have it set so that PC's on the LAN can access the https portion of the site without entering a password, and then Hellaworld works fine. It's only if I try to access from outside the LAN that this happens.

Any ideas?
